We have various volunteering roles available including:
- Breastfeeding Peer Support (requires training) – this could be supporting mums at breastfeeding groups, taking a turn on our helplines, moderating our social media groups, or taking on a small caseload of new mums for weekly support calls
- Meet and Greet Volunteer – supporting breastfeeding groups by welcoming new families and making them feel comfortable by chatting and providing a friendly face
- Breastfeeding Friendly Champion – involves talking to local businesses to encourage them to consider signing up to be part of a breastfeeding friendly scheme
- Retail Support – helping in our shops by sorting donations, displaying goods, rotating stock, packaging and posting goods from online sales, or in a customer facing role
- Merchandise Support – are you feeling creative? Could you help us develop new ranges of merchandise for our online store? Artwork, knitting or other crafts are all of interest to us
- Admin Support – our local office managers are always grateful for help with data inputting, filing and other office-based duties
- Fundraising – we would welcome anyone who is able to contribute to our fundraising efforts. This might be placing collection boxes in local businesses, sourcing items and creating tombolas, promoting our lottery, or spreading the word about our Amazon Smile account. We are open to any new ideas – please get in touch.
- Events – attending local events, fairs and festivals to promote the FAB service while raising funds is a valuable way of supporting your local branch
